Re: Options & prices:
Thanx Exactt. Everybody else has the same idea, then. I find that fascinating to see which strike prices have high volume on given days.
Just talked to Fidelity Spartan desk, here's what he said: The regular online comission schedule is indeed $1.75 an option plus $20 (online). So on your 80 contracts, it would be about $160 (last week's play)--however the guy said, "You can negotiate, and barter." They might give one a discount--ranging from modest to great, I suppose--depending on how active you are, how often you trade, how many contracts. So I figure one could reason with them--i.e., if the transaction costs too much...maybe play damsel in distress? <g>
On the other hand, it sure ain't like Tech2K's prices. So I'm trying to figure out, if I for instance had done your play, of 10 contracts at 2 l/4, my charge would be a little less than $40. And $225, so thats $265--how much would the stock have to move up, to increase the option, to get over $265? I'm terrible at the TA stuff. |
