Leo, I think about 3.5 to 4 years ago Gupta attempted to increase their market share by spending huge marketing dollars. Just look at past earnings and find where they went to negative earnings around 93. This spending trend went on for a couple of years. It took a company with promising earnings and cash reserves and almost put it out of business. The primary target was to gain some of Powersoft's growing market and sales at the time. I won't go into anymore details than to say Gupta lost the war. I was a developer and consultant using Gupta as well as an investor back then. Also I received a settlement from the litigation suit against Gupta. I guess the lesson was learned by the investors as well. Dave... Regards Dave....
