Oh yeah, being on TV can be intoxicating. There were so many TV crews up there you couldn't tell if you were talking to a crew from a major network or some tiny local station. I always made myself available for interview. We weren't supposed to, but I figured what the heck, I'm paying my own way up here, not being paid, I'm gonna get my money's worth. I did 7 or 8 of those sidewalk interviews. I would puff my chest and pretend to know a lot more than I really did. They didn't need to know I was just an envelope stuffer/sign putter upper. The only one I know that was aired was by CBN. I had no idea who they were when I talked with them, but when I returned to Connecticut to start organizing there, a couple of people recognized me from that interview and said what a great job I did. That was definitely a positive ego stroke.
