Is CUBE involved in this? If memory serves, Sarnoff at one time had close ties (or may have even been a spin off from)old RCA which was bought out by the French company Thompson, which supplied the decoder chips in the original DirecTV boxes.

Anybody (particularly John Rieman) have any thoughts on whether or not CUBE benefits (or is likely to benefit) from this arrangement?
