Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN - news) and The Titan Corporation (NYSE: TTN - news) today announced that they have entered into an agreement whereby Tyson will use Titan's patented SureBeam® technology, an electronic pasteurization system, on selected Tyson items to enhance freshness, reduce pathogens, and extend the shelf life of refrigerated products. The exclusive agreement between the two companies, whereby Titan will be the sole provider of electron beam, x-ray or any other type of ionizing energy process, is part of Tyson's strategy of providing its customers the highest quality and safest product in the industry.
