Thanks for the info. I remember reading the SGI thing. RDRAM has
been around for a while and Intel had an opportunity to make it
work in the 486 days. I think Intel decide to wait till the technology
to mature a little bit.

Now the technology seems good enough. I hope Intel is not behind
the curve and lagging workstation vendors. It will be interesting to
know what is the RAM roadmap for Sun Sparc or RSxxxx look like :).
