Happy to see this thread is still alive; it's been a while
since I used a Tek scope or any scope. I remember TEK being
the best. Of course HP dominated on more complex equipment such
as spectrum analyzers. I'm talking the late 80's when I was a tech. Tek has probably been watching its back from an HP threat for too many years.
WHAT TEK should do is forget about HP.

TEK needs to remind itself it has the tools and the experience to go outside of its conservative box and push through new ground
TEK's future lies in its Senior Engineering Staff.
They must have their compensation kicked up ten notches for new breakthroughs. My guess, and its only a guess, is that THEY NEED TO RESTRUCTURE THEIR PAYOUTS SO THE PEOPLE WITH NEW DEVELOPMENTS GET A BIG CHUNK OF THE BOTTOM LINE ....
