AremisSoft Adds Strategic Consultant to Hospitality Team
AremisSoft Corporation (Nasdaq: AREM), a leading supplier of software solutions for the hospitality industry, announced the appointment of David W. Berkus, a well-known industry veteran and hospitality technology executive, as strategic consultant to the Company. Mr. Berkus will lead the development of new sales channels and the expansion of the Company's AREMIS software products into the North American Market.
David Berkus founded Computerized Lodging Systems, Inc. in 1975, growing the company into the then-largest hospitality systems vendor, and was twice named an Inc. 500 growth company. His "Hotel CompuSystem" front and back office system was one of the very first PMS systems, created in the mid 70's. Mr. Berkus was also inducted into the HFTP International Technology Hall of Fame in 1998.
The AREMIS Property Management Systems offers hotels a cost-effective means of using information technology not only to run their businesses, but also to improve occupancy and maximize revenue. The system provides hotel managers with open access databases, graphical displays of rooms, maps and photographs, reservation, guest history and accounting data, and simplified operations through the use of touchscreen technologies.
