Mike, doesn't the outcome of the TV Guide litigation determine whether the IPG area is a Gorilla Game or a Royalty Game?

Not in my opinion. Are you implying that a decision potentially rendering 9 (is that the right number) patents unenforceable eliminates the proprietary standard? What about the other 400+ patents Gemstar owns?

A GMST loss,or even the joint venture settlement which is being talked about, would leave 2 strong competitors to divide up the market.

The number of strong players in a market has nothing to do with it being a royalty or gorilla game. Which leads to my next post ...
