Thread - Well, it looks like High Grader's post on the Elliot Wave forecast for WIN may come true...we have stayed above $9.40!
There's a buzz on the SH thread about the imminent announcement of a deal with Phillips...buying activity seems to confirm this, closing @ $10.65 (CDN).
This would introduce another revenue stream for Wi-LAN, basically home networking, with a rate of 22 Mbps., and the hope that R+D might take that rate to +/- 100 Mbps.
My question on this, Hatim, relates to the implementation of the ASICs - if the 100 Mbps. rate is achieved, is the design of the 30 Mbps. circuitry being done in such a way that the "upgrade" to 100 Mbps. can be done easily, or would it likely be a whole new implementation, ie., completely new hardware?
A second question relates to the IEEE 802.16 standard. I can find no input from Wi-LAN into the IEEE 802.16 groups - has that effort been sidelined, permanently or temporarily?
