here is some info EBay competitor claims largest reach FairMarket Inc., Microsoft Corp. (MSFT), Excite At Home (ATHM) and Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch Inc. (TMCS) formally announced their online auction sites to compete with EBay (EBAY). The companies said their relationships, through which they will pool items offered for sale, creates a network that can reach more than 46 million unduplicated visitors, or 73.3 percent of all Internet users. FairMarket, an organizer of the effort, also revealed dozens of additional participants including Lycos (LCOS), Tripod, and PBS Online.
