Qwest MUST be facing HUGE pricing pressure - with AT&T's 7 cent/min plan, etc. And there's no way costs are declining anywhere as quickly as prices. Qwest's advantage is a really low cost structure. I think the AT&Ts, MCIs, etc. must be hurting a lot more. The other place Qwest must be hurting is the data transportation area. I hear from excellent sources that Level3 is selling DS0s as low as Qwest's T1 pricing. So, Qwest will most probably have to move quickly there. The silver lining I see is the European side (big margins there), and the Cybersolutions side. I'm going to be at Telecosm next week - will see what Nacchio and gang have to say.
