Since no one is posting the drilling play by play on SI. Here is our drillers latest report from the oil patch, he is posting on the other thread. Hodges No. 1-X Update... 9/20/99 Back in from the rig. We cut four feet into the Swastika Sand. Had an excellent drilling break. Sand was carrying a show of oil and odor. Based on our structural position, and the sample show we are going to test the formation. Rig hands are mixing mud to bring our mud system up to testing levels and then will start out of the hole. Test tools will be put together and subsequently run back in the hole on the drill string. If we see good action during the first part of the test, then we will run a longer test interval for more accurate measurements of formation pressures. Test results won't be available until sometime tomorrow after we get the tools back out of the hole. A long night lies ahead. End of Report. Rod.
