The figures in "your" article and the ones in "my" article don't agree. However the WSJ was talkig about the future. All the systems will improve. Ive heard an engineer at QCOM state that cdma might be 2 times as good as the others (not 7 or 10 times) so it could be possible to close the gap. In a speedy broadband world users still wind up waiting a lot. Just ask anybody with a cable modem.In a world where total useable bandwidth isn't as fat as it appears, other features of CDMa become more important - it's ability to encode and it's efficient use of crowded spectrum (made more crowded by people making longer and more call cause they are cheaper, and by the data people waiting for the data to trickle down to them).ALL this crowds the spectrum.
