PARIS, Sept 20 (Reuters) - French glassmaker Saint Gobain said on Monday its Norton unit had made an agreed $25.5 per share offer for all the outstanding shares of U.S. high performance plastic maker Furon Company (NYSE:FCY).
In addition, Norton will pay $29 million to extinguish outstanding options and assume about $116 million in net financial debt. Saint Gobain said the deal would increase its profit from 2000 and represented a 56-percent premium on Furon's closing share price on Friday of $16.31.
