Hi Cheryl- 100 days away.... getting close- and its almost eerie with the calm. I am so proud of my wife- very much on same page w/ me and we feel tonite we are about as prepared as we can be for living in a suburb. I wish we had moved- but we have a farm to fall back on so its at least better than nothing.
Since the thread has pretty much quieted down maybe those of us that have prepared can trade some tips and such. Poor cheeky will be bored but there really is not much too say- those who will prepare are or have and those like cheeky will be beating on our door soon enough so its past time to argue with them.
Tonite we picked up a Coleman dual fuel camp stove along with some fuel and spare parts for it. A small sewing repair kit, compass, weatherproof matches and batteries etc. Many times when we are out we just try to pickup odd and end things- sometimes new things and often times just more.
Wife is packing 2 small suitcases along with 2 backpacks in case of emergency or disaster in case have to go on foot after seeing the people on tv from some of these global troubles it makes you wonder at the arrogance of many Americans to think disaster cannot strike them. I never knew how personally vulnerable we were until 18 months ago. I sure feel good now - knowing we have tried our best.

Jeff
