I am really steamed about this alleged statement by Stephenson: "2.8M subs by year end 2004, no change from previous plans." I'd like to see G* PR/IR show some signs of life here. Anyone with 30 spare seconds can go to this page on Loral's home web site: loral.com and find that by 4Q2000 the sub forecast is 1M, or "29% of 2002 Business Plan." Ergo, the 2002 forecast must be north of 3Msubs. How could that be consistent with 2.8M by end of 2004??? Either Stephenson screwed up big time or the reporter did, either way, I'd like to see G* put out a clarification ASAP.
