Where does morality come from, then? Is it ok to murder? To steal? To rape? I think not. But if a woman has a right to abort a fetus, because it is her body, does this mean a murderer has the right to end a life because it's his body? Does a thief have the right to let his hands wander because it is his body? Does a rapist have the right to force sex on someone because it is his body? To control one's own body does not mean that bad consequences result. Would you give up your life if someone didn't want you? This is a rough question, I know, and some do, so it's not out of insensitivity I post this, but I'm trying to explain my respect for life, the respect to give one a chance. Everyone's had it rough at one point or another, and some of us have had it very rough, but the vast majority of us still want to live despite this. It scares the hell out of me thinking I may never have had a chance if my mother had decided not to have me.
