N.U. Pizza's New Store Sales & Openings Ahead of Schedule
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 1999--N.U. Pizza Holding Corp.'s (NUZA) first new concept, Numero Uno/Magic Pizza unit is generating sales significantly higher than projected.
The unit, which opened Aug. 1, 1999, is generating sales about 20% greater than expected. According to President Dan Rouse, the response to the new product lines, lower pricing and larger sizes has been tremendous. ''Our regular prices are below our competitor's discounted prices, we're keeping our food cost in line and our customers are loving it.''
Rouse also said that the next Numero Uno/Magic Pizza express unit will be opening around Oct. 15, 1999, 30 days ahead of schedule; that the first new dual concept store will be opening around Oct. 12, 1999, and the second new dual concept store will be opening around Oct. 19, 1999.
