Two developments. First, the UAW and Daimler-Chrysler reached an agreement. It was quick and rather generous. Early indications are that GM is interested in doing the same. If that happens, we're in the clear from a strike standpoint.

Secondly, GNTX announced that it will be supplying interior EC mirrors for the Ford Expedition, that megaSUV. It's a huge win because

1) the volume for GNTX is likely to be around 200K/yr., which increases GNTX overall mirror shipments (and revs) by 3%, JUST FROM THAT ONE VEHICLE! and

2) back on 3/24/98, Donnelly had announced that it was chosen by Ford to supply interior EC mirrors for the Expedition. But it apparently never happened because through model year 1999 (now over), the Expedition never came with an EC mirror. I am getting info about exactly what happened. But it's clearly a competitive win and a key commitment by Ford to GNTX. Ford has been less aggressive in adopting GNTX than GM or Chrysler. So, this is a good sign.

I am looking for $1.05 EPS in '00. Stock should be 10-20% higher by year end (north of $25).
