GoNorth, Not yet doesn't mean not soon. I also don't believe the reaction is a yawn but rather naivety (plus a little distraction from generally down markets this morning). The convergence of television and the Internet will not have to wait for set-top converters. Yesterday's Wall Street Journal featured several articles on wireless Internet access using devices like cell phones. Hence one could be watching a Dutch auction over conventional broadcast TV while bidding via telephone on a Web site; perhaps a second best interim step to fully-interactive TV, but certainly not "way off in the distance". >>buffet, the fact is that currently there is virtually NO convergence between the TV and Internet world. It's one of those "way off in the distance" scenarios. Maybe this explains the yawn.<<
