Jon, Good to see you here. Not sure what you are seeing, but if 25Mbps has been around for long, I am unaware. xDSL is cheaper for sure, in dense areas . . . but of course it will be a long while before it would be nationwide, due to the sheer number of nodes that would require upgrading.

And yes, ADAP's system will be expensive at first. But the difference I see is this. . .Most DSL services run up to 2Mbps. . .and there is certainly nothing new with that. . . and it is sufficient for internet service and telephony. . .but not nearly fast enough for simultaneous 2-way full-motion, full screen interactive video, coupled with real-time CD quality 5.1 audio and data, etc. . . . . but the 25Mbps service that ADAP has can handle this. . . and I believe this to be our future.

And that is why companies like ADAP, HLIT, JDSU and ANTC are so exciting. My play on these is well into the future, as we are just now beginning to see the first such transmissions of full-screen movies via the internet.

So when I see a dip on ADAP down to 27, I snatch it up. .. and judging by the volume that came in with me, I am hardly alone. As I stated over 6 months ago, I don't like xDSL and believe it will not get much farther than the urban centers. . . .whereas digital cable [fibre optics] and the set-top box [appliance] will take the world by storm.

Personally, it will be one fine day, when I can retire my personal computers to word processing and graphic arts tasks only. . . .and only access the internet via the set-top appliance and perhaps a wearable wireless.

Note: I prefer dedicated hardware, whenever possible, to software driven solutions. . . stability to flexibility.
