The LMDS players (as I see them)

Cisco, who are leading with their joint-venture with MOT which in turn was purchased from Bosch which was originally part of TI, and also have whatever the Clarity folks are working on;

Nortel, who use in-house capabilities plus their BNI acquisition;

Lucent, who have both the Netro agreement, their own capabilities, and the business they bought from HP;

Newbridge, who seem to be relying primarily on in-house work.

Siemens, who seem to be following a multi-vendor strategy (Netro is one of them).

Feel free to add/correct if you have additional info. (Bernard is the expert here).

So when you see Nortel and Cisco sharing a field trial, I think you should assume they are not using Netro (in the trial) and that they are a ways away from deciding who they will use for the eventual deployment.
