Can anyone tell me why Via should become AMD's prime supplier of Athlon motherboards and chipsets if Via themselves is going to enter the x86 CPU business? One good reason is that the Cyrix and Centaur designs have proven to be non-competitive in the marketplace. As a long time reader of MDR, Gwennap's predictions have been way off the mark. I know you've been reading Gwennap for awhile. Haven't you also noticed that his speculations rarely prove true? Bob
