Christians are victims of the church and the church uses fear and guilt to control their followers almost like a cult would. It is, for some, a very unhealthy environment.
Paranoia generated by fear and guilt may have the unfortunate effect on some people to go completely crazy and cause a lot of damages in my opinion.
