I chose to follow your advice and take a modest position in NYA puts, and leave the rest in cash. But my broker hadn't told me before that I had to open a special account for options trading, and I was unavailable Monday and most of today. So I finally got the paperwork signed late today. Meanwhile, the Oct 630 puts you recommended at $22 are up about 30% today :-( I may wait for the inevitable(?) "buy the dip" frenzy to kick in before jumping on board now. Could this current dip be partially related to mutual funds' end-of-quarter activity?
