He certainly has a point, but my conclusion is that if he can't garner a decent percentage of support within the party, what on earth makes him think he will draw those voters out on the "Reform" ticket?

His is a spoiler campaign and I think he knows it, that's why I don't respect his choosing to leave. He's unelectable and he has to know that. I think most conservatives aren't as stupid as to think they would waste their vote on a doomed Buchanan campaign. Buchanan looks to me like he is cutting off his nose to spite his face. If he leaves the Republican party, I frankly don't even see him being able to go back to television as a commentator. He will have thrown away his audience.
