As best I remember, Via has good relationships with TSMC and other local foundries. Unless the earthquake's impact is larger than we've been led to believe, they should have plenty of capacity available. While Via will want to compete with AMD in some spaces, it will have to compete with Intel in those spaces, too. Moreover, Via does not (AFAIK) have to pay royalties on Athlon chipsets/mobos, in contrast to the case with Intel, not to mention that AMD hasn't recently sued Via. <g> The enemy of my enemy, for the moment, I think. -mb
