Airtouch/VOD rep told my company today that they will be rolling out nationwide wireless internet/data access by the end of the year. According to the rep, they are upgrading their infrastructure from Motorola to Nortel (at least in the Southern California area) to facilitate the wireless internet/data capability. This process is expected to be completed no later than October 9th followed by the availability of internet/data access within two months thereafter.
