3Com will see no cash benefit from the IPO This all accrues to PALM (the new company). This is the sole reason for doing an IPO. What SHOULD be happening is that PALM should be getting some of the cash hoard that 3Com has developed since much of it is due to the performance of the PalmPilot. This should happen without an IPO. Greedy COMS mgmt will keep cash rightfully earned by PALM keep shareholders out of the action for 6 months. Tim
