BSE won the WCS 2.3 GHz spectrum at el cheapo auction across its region and split winnings with WIRL which actually provides WISP services in Baton Rouge, Jackson & Memphis. WIRL bought out recently by WCOM which also bought CAWS and private Tele TV in LA. FON has bought PCTV, ATEL and several private others. WCS can be used for
upstream as well as 2 MDS channels at 2.15 GHz in bandplan
where many of the 2.5-2.7 GHz channels BSE uses for wireless
cable are turned into downstream data and voice channels. You will have to drop the E from BSE though if you believe they will provide WISP service soon as it is only because of
FON & WCOM spending $2 billion on acquisitions that RBOC has
started to rethink its MDS spectrum usage.

On the LMDS front, MTP issued progress report on its Touch
America rollout in Billings with 24 more in development.
