I was given to understand that Kargil muslims are shi'as and they adorn their houses with -you guessed it- with the portraits of Ayatollah Khomeini. Not particularly liked by the Govt. of pakistan. Why is Sherif - I mean his portrait- not hung there?
First the Sunnis, Shi'as, PMs (Punjabi muslims), Sindhis, Pathans, Baluchis, MUJAHIRS, MQM, Ahmadias, Kurds and so many more should come together in to one family, work out the differences, stop killing each other and then come to India to advice BJP, RSS, Shiv Sena etc. Ahmadias and Shi'as are in constant fear because of their view of Islam. We are not perfect in India, but we need an exemplary behavior from our fellow muslims before we infidels can change and evolve and rise above our petty caste system. We promise we will treat our Dalits like Brahmins would like to be treated. What I am trying to say is that religion has by far divided the people instead of bringing them together. A state or country based on religion is no guarantee to bring the whole spectrum of muslims from SUNNIS TO SHIA'S to MUJAHIRS UNDER ONE UMBRELLA OF PEACE AND HARMONY. A SAFFRON UMBRELLA IS NOT ANY BETTER. A secular state is the best among the worst. I am also given to understand that Pakistan is of the intent to not only unite divided Kashmir in to one province under Pakistani flag, but paradoxically divide it into the following parts: HINDU Jammu and Udhampur, SUNNI Srinagar valley, SHI'A Kargil and Bhuddhist Ladak. By Joe, it is a Clever idea. Borrowed from who else..You guessed it ...From the British...DIVIDE AND RULE. HOORAY JPR |
