As a possible indication of what may happen when (and if) MRVC IPO's a stake in their optical division, it will be interesting to see what happens to COMS stock when they spin off a 20% stake in their Palm computing division. This has been looked upon for a long time as a positive step for that company. Although announced I believe it may be after Jan 1 2000 before it actually occurs. When it was announced the stock popped a couple points but was short-lived. Maybe the positive earnings surprise announced today will do more. BP
