Follow up on nicotine gum:
I have never been a smoker, but it seems to me that this could be a huge market. In addition to the potential health advantages of chewing nicotine gum over smoking, those who prefer to smoke might use gum in places where smoking isn't allowed. Society is moving more towards a smoke free environment, and this trend plays right into a smoke free, tobacco free, delivery system for nicotine. Smokers might use nicotine gum in airplanes, restaurants, retail stores, workplaces, office buildings, banks, elevators, and other places where smoking isn't permitted. Some smokers might even prefer nicotine gum to puffing on cigarettes, and previous smokers that quit because of health reasons, might use a nicotine gum.
How big is the tobacco industry?
According to activemedia-guide.com
"In the United States, tobacco is approximately a $46 billion a year business."
WOW!
Do we have any smokers in the audience? What do you think about this idea? Would you use a product that delivers the sensation of smoking through a chewing gum? Maybe they could even make a cigarette flavored gum. lol |
