TP you need to brush up on what free will is as well as words such as charity, altruism, love.

As opposed to instinct.

In only the last 2000 years human intelligence has
increased by an almost logarithmic power compared to
animal intelligence. This is totally against the speed of evolution.

If you cannot appreciate that may I suggest hitting Biology 101 plus The Divine Comedy,

JMHO,

TA

PS Have you by any chance told anybody that animals are rapidly approaching us in IQ and ready to surpass us?
If you didn't may I suggest you don't? Just keep that to your self. I am just very concerned........

A bee is preprogrammed
And that is what I said, even the very slow learning of DNA in a honeybee can achieve altruism after a few billion years. We can expect and do see more of a human which has
an impressive dynamic learning capability. that doesn't mean that the honeybee did not exhibit courage and daring or that it was self sacrificing. Hold your sides, that sounds
noble to me.

So far FREE WILL is unique to humans .
When I was young we had a horse. We rode it every day in the summer. We rode it on weekends in the spring and fall. In winter, when the weather was bad, we didn't
ride much. The horse got bored. It was in a pen with 5 or 6 foot rails, and yet it would jump over (I saw it) and run away. We would run after it, drive cars after it, go
back and forth. It would run and run from one farm to the other. When it was good and ready it would slow down enough that we could get a rope over it and take it
back to the pen. Don't even try to say the horse didn't decide on it's own FREE WILL to lead us on that chase or I will laugh at you.

we should not teach high schoolers that animals
are getting to be like us
No competent teacher would, animals will be mostly like their parents. That is what natural selection teaches. (You really should try to learn this stuff before you critisise
it).
