LastShadow,

Just wanted to say THANKS for everything.

You may not have the most populated thread but everyone who posts here (without exception) is devoid of the ego dementia that permeates certain other threads <g>.

I spent 6 years as a CPA with Arthur Andersen, Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) and then as a controller within the eyewear division of a "sub" of Bausch and Lomb and am fully cognizant of the significant EGO required to be successful. On the other hand, there are few absolutes in trading. Making good calls is always problematic. Once upon a time, I prepared the financial statements and wrote the related footnotes on those DAMN annual reports and recognize the great difficulty any layperson would have in discerning "real" problems solely through a review of a co.'s "financials". It is burdensome when many BELIEVE they can PERFECTLY evaluate the viability and legitimacy of businesses from the outside. Seems that some would be better served by recognizing that trading will always be game of wins and losses and success at one point in time does not equate with GURU status for a lifetime <g>.

Rather, the trading techniques individuals like YOURSELF communicate and the experience the posters here present on a daily basis provide important tools to educate and better inform some of us interested in improving our trading performance. I try to learn from the successes and mistakes of others, and appreciate the candor and straightforwardness of the group on this thread especially.

Again, thanks. No one tries to be a GURU on your thread though I'm certain several here could obtain that level of EGO massage if they desired. Fortunately, for many lurkers like myself, that impulse is checked and controlled in ways that provide a balanced and equitable landscape for all to see. Idiot Guru's need not apply <gg> - no offense intended to any insecure advocates of GURUship and related responsibilty deferral. :)

Best wishes to all,

Jeff

(thread: sorry for the pontification - just got back from a good night at the tables and felt like airing some views - now back to your regularly scheduled programs <grin>.)
