and UncleWest for Rambus.....my take FWIW on UncleWest, is that he is smart, practical, and tireless. Exactly what we US citizens would want from our ARMY soldiers who fought in wars, like UncleWest.
When reading UncleWest's posts, I try to remember he is optimistic, but nevertheless also remember that he has his ear to the ground and can feel a train acommin' long before the rest of us can hear it.
Investing in Rambus requires some vision and some faith, which I have already elaborated on in earlier posts....from the Rambus thread, other uses are suggested. I strongly doubt these are based only on dreams.....but can be supported by links upon request. Certainly, some of these early rumblings will someday turn into product.

rambus is everywhere. brocade uses rambus (fibre channel in storage). texas instruments is using rmbs technology in high speed telephone switches. si tera has a new network chipset that uses rdram. more info at both companies web sites. for si tera use www.sitera.com
surfing cpq, lsi logic, ti and a few other websites leads me to believe that rmbs in pda's is about to happen...cell phones possible too.
other possible uses include hdtv, hd dvd, copiers, scanners, printers, etc.
i have done a variety of searches using various search engines. the links for rambus are endless. this one simple search for just Rambus will get you over 18,000 sites. additional searches using RDRAM, RIMM and other search engines will get many many others.
rambus is everywhere is reality. unclewest i hear rmbs may even be in computers soon.
