Wednesday September 22, 9:05 am Eastern Time Company Press Release Band-Ore Resources Ltd. Drilling To Commence On Platinum and Palladium Discovery TORONTO, ONTARIO--The Company is pleased to announce the commencement of a diamond drill program on its Nym Lake project (see press dated May 3, 1999), located 15 km southeast of Atikokan, in northwestern Ontario.
Current diamond drill targets on the Nym Lake property include coincidental magnetic and IP (induced polarization) anomalies which are associated with a pyroxenitic intrusive complex, variable mineralized with pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. Grab samples from this intrusive complex returned values ranging from anomalous to 3.3 g/t combined Platinum/Palladium, 0.45 percent Copper, 0.8 percent Nickel and 2.9 g/t Silver.
An initial diamond drill program consisting of four holes totaling 2000 ft will commence this week and should be completed in a two - three week period. The Company's Qualified Persons will supervise this project.
The Property is situated 40 km east of Starcore Resources' and ProAm Exploration's Samuels Lake Project. At Samuels Lake recent diamond drill assay results include a 5.3 metre interval grading 1.74 percent copper, 1.13 percent nickel and 0.8 g/t platinum, palladium and gold.
