Perhaps the confusion lies between Gilder/Forbes marketing and Gilder himself. The Gilder letter focuses on his read on the future of the "telecosm". I have been a subscriber since Spring and have made a substantial chunk of change on stocks I purchased after reading about their prospects in the letter. However, the real value of the letter is Gilder's "window" on the future. I would suggest to you that he is a futurist in a field where the companies he writes about have exciting prospects.

Since becoming a subscriber, remember only a few months, only 8 of the 30 companies currently in his universe are down in price.

If you are looking for a "buy this, sell this and double your money by Friday" letter perhaps you should look elsewhere.
