zsteve/all: I am perplexed by the P/E for the Nasdaq. Looking at their site nasdaq-amex.com it shows the average P/E at 145.3, but that doesn't jibe with the average market value divided by the average net income. The table also shows "total" P/E as N/A, and I don't understand why one can't take total market value divided by total net income to come to 89.4. I must be missing something, and I'd appreciate it if someone will attempt to un-fog my brain.
