The consulting firms that are winning the big $20-40mm+ deals are winning 'em because they lead with strategies based on the internet. You have to lead your pitch with the internet or you ain't gonna get very far with Corporate America these days. No good consulting firm wants to write code over and over again so they use packaged apps and the blue chip packaged internet platforms/apps are from BVSN and VIGN. One or both of these companies is looking like it going to be the packaged app player for the internet kind of like SAP's R/3 was for ERP/MRP. The Andersons and others of the world are looking to put bodies coming off ERP and SFA projects onto internet projects because this is big business as the Global 1000 fully embraces the internet. This is CEO-level stuff and no longer just IT stuff and all the consulting firms want to build expertise for the future. BVSN and VIGN are the leaders and are learning from their customers and have major competitive advantages for this reason. net net, its all about the net.
