Tero, others,

I am new to the stock and to the industry. I have no position in any of the companies so far mentioned (well, except OMPT). I am surprised at the level of rhetoric and rivalry some are expressing on these boards but it leads me to some simple questions:

1) What is stopping NOK from manufacturing handsets for the CDMA market? (Are they already?)

2) What makes people think that NOK will not be able to sustain itself without a CDMA-capable phone?

3) What makes people think that the very best technology always wins out? (Was VHS better than Betamax? Were PCs better than Macs?) A corollary to this is that management makes a big difference.

I am not as informed as most on this thread but it seems the market is so young and expanding so rapidly that to declare winners or losers at this point is a fools game. The internet/telecommunications is an enormous moneymaker and wireless technology is simply the most recently recognized distribution channel. I made very decent money when cable was recognized for what it was and the truth of the matter was that a dart thrown at a list of those companies would have yielded outsized gains. IMHO the same can be said here. Congratulations to QCOM investors: you have done very well so far. NOK is no slouch and the domestic GSM operators are doing fine too.

Good investing to all and comments welcome,
Terrapin
