Maybe the stock is rebounding today based upon a positive outlook on the trial----well at least not as negative as it was once thought.
MSFT seems pretty stubborn (like the DOJ) and feels that it will win out in the end. All the negative PR damage has been done -so why bother settling is a way to look at it.
However, i keep coming back to the WIndows2k release---do they want this trial as a dark cloud over that release? Since Windows2000 is a different product and not really a monopoly issue at this point in time. That could be a reason why BG and friends don't give a @&$* about the Windows98 case in so far as it affects the Windows2k release.
