RP, that seems to be common knowledge in Silicon Valley and I found an actual reference to it in my post # 3926. Let me post it again.

..."Actel has been working with Synopsys to adapt the Formality formal verification tool to its new flash-based ProASIC architecture. The ProASIC devices, developed by Gatefield Corp., Fremont, Calif., and marketed by Actel, recently began shipping in sample quantities"...

This is a key factor in the future of both companies (especially Gatefield) and my personal opinion is that the chips are down and everyone likes them. Actel likes them well enough to buy stock in the company. Take a look at the chart and it is obvious that someone with deep pockets and personal knowledge of the technology is supporting the current price range.
