This will come about through the greater understanding of DNA and transfering genes and developing whole new genes. Already the entire gene sequence of some organisms has been determined and fed into the computers. An experiment I expect soon is one where the sequence is rebuilt, strand by strand, until from 4 vats of non-living organic soup there comes a living and reproducing organism. I expect that to be a trying moment for those kids in Kansas who won't have a clue as to what happened and why. TP
