Oops--It was Dave B's message to you, to which I was responding. Apologies for the mis-attribution.

Of course, I don't see SDRAM or DDR speeding up DaveB's scanning either, anytime soon. The scanner itself and the scsi connection provide bottlenecks before it even gets to the 800 mhz/fast memory bus (rdr or sdr, take your pick).

Or, am I wrong?

PS--I am not going to address your 2100MBps statement on DDR, which has been addressed on this thread already. You and I both know that is a gratuitous aside (humorously stated) to the point of my original post.
