Dear Bill: COST<----Price depressed on fear that California will outlaw the sale of groceries in warehouse clubs. Legislation was introduced in underhanded fashion and is obviously sponsored by supermarkets that are very, very scared of Costco.

THAT IS INCREDIBLE!!!! No wonder they call Calif. the land of the fruits and NUTS. I dont see how even a Politician can have the audacity to mention such a what appears to me UNLAWFUL act. Far as I know, warehouse clubs are involved in a legal transaction, how dare a group try to outlaw a lawabiding citizen. I am surprised this isnt being attacked all over the internet. Bye the way, I suppose if they could outlaw warehouse clubs next to go would be On Line Trading, On Line purchasing of goods and services etc etc etc. Personally, I would never want to do business in Calif. in any event due to the outrageous taxes on EVERY LEVEL but one should be free to do so properly licensed of course.
