Sonny,

Qualitatively my thoughts parallel yours, but quantitatively, I think the support level of Intel might be higher than $115. I am inclined to think it would be in the mid-120s(at most).

My reasons--in addition to yours--also includes a possibility that AMD may announce one or two 1st tier PC vendors (i.e. HP) shortly. This seems plausible as HP currently ships some PCs based on K5, and a move to K6 is only logical. An announcement such as this could very well be blown out of proportion by Jerry and his marketing guys, and thus exerted temporary pressure on Intel's share prices.

There is also the "summer doldrums beginning to set in around that time, and I am not sure the positive "split effect" has not been partially discounted. H&Q is currently forecasting a flat Q2.

Regards,
Ibexx
