Yeah, that's a pretty hokey looking dividend deal, very creative, but there are a couple ways to look at it.
Personally, I did not expect ANYI to go below $5 this fast, but that BANY de-listing thing was outta the blue. As I did expect, ANYI has not panned out as a $50 internet stock, and it appears there have been a few more shares sold than Sitra lead many to believe. My highest expectations for ANYI was for it to trade ~$10, and it could eventually try to get bought out at ~$20.
In the short term ANYI has to have something up its sleeve to get the price back to at least $7.50 if they went through all the trouble of doing this dividend thing. It also looks like they hired yet another stock promoter (for $8,000?) so maybe they have something in the works. What ANYI has always needed, and has not seen so far, is some real trading volume (today is better, but there's no clear direction yet). I am very curious to see what ANYI has planned.
As you know, I sold my ANYI for $18 the day after trading began, just as I said I would. Well, I just used that $ to buy back more than 5 times the ANYI shares I originally received, plus I now get a 3.3% share dividend and a couple of options that may or may not ever be worth anything. Not a bad little deal if ANYI is near or at its bottom, especially since it came from the BANY dividend to begin with.
I imagine that some folks who left ANYI earlier may be willing to put some of that $ back in at the current levels (c'mon .com, I know you're tempted) if it looks like ANYI has a plan (i.e. the conference call and earnings tomorrow had better be good), some volume, and the potential to make up some lost ground.
I've received PMs from a lot of folks asking when would be a good time to get into ANYI, why not now? The dividend should spark some interest, BANY may get back to the OTC sometime soon, and these stock promoters had better at least generate some volume equal to their salary. Long term ANYI has some tough obstacles to overcome, but short term it could be oversold and ready to rebound.
