"Well, fwiw I don't consider the HP deal to be about CRM software alone..." I actually agree with you, although I'm not sure what the rest of the picture is yet. They did, however, also announce a "strategic e-services" alliance in August, which makes Oracle 8i THE database platform for HP's e-speak. In fact, I'm almost surprised I haven't picked up on any rumors that HP and Oracle are considering some sort of closer relationship....
